This option sets synchronization to be started at a preset time. It also can be used to start synchronization on a periodic basis.

Check this option to start synchronization every day, for example, to a file server to keep a backup copy of your important files.

Or use it to connect to another Mac via AppleTalk Remote Access. Synchronize! can dial up another Mac, synchronize files, unmount a file server, and disconnect the modem in the middle of the night, when telephone rates are lowest.
